Even More Israelis...
Well, the first of December was a beautiful day at Ma'aleh Gilboa, a symphony of color such as created by conductor Chroma the Great (what book is that from? 2 points to the first to guess it). The hues that illuminated the day were bright and vivid: the crisp blue of the cloudless sky; the lively green of the grass unaware of the nearing winter; the yellowing pages of a much-used gmara. Also on display were the murky, translucent white of the drinking water; the rich creamy brown of Israeli chocolate; and the artist palette that is the mountaintop view of Beit Shean and the valley we overlook.
And, before we introduce these Israelis: I got a phone call from Hilary Schmeeda, who said that not only did she get the jacket I mailed her, but also that her daughter Yehudit gave birth to a child, two weeks early. Mazal tov. And, on to the Israelis. Onward!

sorry, yoni, but i have to agree with dj here. mine were pretty silly, too. also, the name is spelled berkowitz and not berkovitch. im lithuanian-descendant, not ukranian. and the pallindrome was
