Short Shabbat Recap

I am currently working on a longer post, so this entry, a short recap of my Shabbat in Tel Aviv, will be brief. Highlights include:

• Finishing "The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and starting a new book by James Patterson.
• Lunch, which we bought at a makolet right before Shabbat. We ate in our room, and it included sausages, potato chips, pita, pickles, and orange soda. Quite appetizing.
• Hanging out with Marty and Renee Lieberman one last time before they leave tonight. We played cards and talked over sodas in the Executive Lounge on the 17th floor of the Hilton. And we did maariv on the balcony overlooking the sea.
• Saturday night on Dizengoff Street, one of the most happening in all of Israel. We shopped at a Steimatzky bookstore, got shwarmas, visited a cool fountain, and walked around.
• Saw the movie "The Brothers Grimm" at Rav Chen cineplex on Dizengoff. It was, um, interesting. A twisted fairy tale by Terry Gilliam, of Monty Python fame.
• After the movie, which ended about midnight, we returned to the room and stayed up until 2:30 a.m. watching football... I mean soccer. Up to 2:30 a.m. watching soccer is only justifiable, by the way, if this time is spent ridiculing the sport. And that is exactly what we did. Great lines included "the over-under is 2" and "we've got a 2-1 shootout on our hands" and "how about a power play?"

And today is my last day of freedom before returning to the City on the Hill. All good things must come to an end, they say. And this is a very cool picture, I say:

And for ten bonus points: what is the best way to get a jacket from Tel Aviv to Givat Zev, near Jerusalem? When formulating your response, please take into account the following factors: speed, cost, convenience of receiver, mode of transportation, making sure the jacket arrives safely at the destination. Creativity counts, too.
